
Lion's Mane Pork Ribs
A unique and flavorful dish using lion's mane mushrooms as a substitute for pork ribs.
Ingredients
- 2 pcs lion's mane head
- 1 teaspoon spice mix
- 1 tablespoon beet powder
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tsps maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
- ½ pc lemon
Instructions
Marinade
- Combine the marinade ingredients into a bowl, mix until well combined.
Lion's Mane
- Heat a skillet on low-medium heat.
- Add a few teaspoons of olive oil and your lion's mane mushroom.
- Use another pan or a spatula to press it down.
- Allow it to cook for a few minutes. Continue pressing down to release all the water.
- Flip it and cook for several minutes. It should be completely pressed like a flat steak. Add more oil if needed.
- After you have cooked it, place your ribs into the marinade.
- Let mushrooms marinate for about 30 minutes.
- Heat the skillet on medium heat and add a few more teaspoons of oil.
- Add the ribs back to the skillet.
- Cook on each side for about 5 minutes.
- Throw on the grill for the last 5 minutes of cooking.
